The International Institute of New England (IINE) is one of the oldest and largest human services organizations serving refugees and immigrants in the region. Each year, IINE supports over 9,000 individuals in Boston and Lowell, Massachusetts, and Manchester, New Hampshire through programs in resettlement, education, employment, and immigration legal services.
Position Overview
The RCA Administrator plays a critical support role in the delivery of Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA), helping newly arrived clients access financial assistance. This position is responsible for managing data entry, maintaining accurate records, and distributing benefits in coordination with the Programs team. The role includes client-facing responsibilities and front desk support.
Distribute RCA checks to clients in-person and by mail
Provide front desk support during check pickups
Communicate with clients regarding benefit availability
Enter and maintain RCA data in case management systems
Support donor reporting and administrative recordkeeping
Attend regular team meetings and required trainings
Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Haitian Creole, French, or Spanish preferred
Experience working with immigrant populations is a plus
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Counseling, or related field preferred
Minimum one year of administrative or data entry experience
Demonstrated commitment to serving refugees, immigrants, and asylees
Frequent interaction with clients and staff in a busy office environment
Bright overhead lighting and use of standard office technology
Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Occasional local travel between IINE offices may be required
